How to Make Vegetable Rice Pulao (वेज पुलाव)

Rice is a Kharif Crop and is the staple food of over half of the entire world’s population. Among rice dishes, Vegetable Pulao is the most frequently cooked and most loved Indian Recipe. It attracts all age groups because of its amazing taste and easy to cook and quick cooking qualities.

Although White Rice is most popular and commonly consumed type,

Brown Rice is also becoming popular due to the Health Benefits it offers.

You Know, Whenever I feel like eating something really good and my mom don’t allow me to go out, vegetable pulao is the best substitute for that normal boring food. I guess there was a reason behind this –

One. The dish is healthy

Two and the most important, She don’t have to cook it 😛 ,

My father had mastery in cooking Vegetable Rice Pulao, and all the side efforts like boiling the rice and chopping the veggies use to be my job,

and I use to do all this with full interest, not because I like chopping the veggies, but because I loved the end results… The Deliciois Vegetable Rice Pulao.

Nutrition Content Of Vegetable Rice Pulao

If we talk about the main ingredient of our Indian dish- RICE, in normal lifestyle, mostly people consume White Rice, which contain 90% carbohydrate, 8 percent protein and 2 percent fat.

Also Rice is a good source of-

  • Phosphorus;
  • Magnesium;
  • Iron;
  • Zinc;
  • Folic Acid and
  • Manganese.

All Ingredients We Need to Make Vegetable Rice Pulao

Ingredients of Vegetable Rice Pulao - Full-Recipe - Dil Bhukkad

  1. Boiled Rice- 1 Bowl;
  2. Capsicum- 1 Medium Size;
  3. Cauliflower- 0.25 (1/4) Bowl;
  4. White Portion of spring onion or Onion- 0.25 (1/4) Bowl;
  5. Green Peas- 0.25 (1/4) Bowl;
  6. Cabbage- 0.25 (1/4) Bowl;
  7. Green Leaves of Spring Onion- 0.25 (1/4) Bow (Finely Chopped);
  8. Tomato- 1 Medium Size (Sliced);
  9. Rai Seeds-  0.25 (1/4) Tea Spoon;
  10. Black Pepper- 1.5 (1 1/2) Tea Spoon;
  11. Salt- as per taste;
  12. Chaat Masala- 0.5 (1/2) Tea Spoon.

The Quantity of ingredients are enough for 2 people, you can vary them as per your requirements. Also you can vary the types of veggies you use to cook Vegetable Rice Pulao as per your taste and add your favorite veggies after all its your mood and absolutely your food! Have it the way you want!!!

 

Complete Step by Step Process to Make Vegetable Rice Pulao

  1. Heat 2 table spoon Oil in a pan;
  2. Add Rai Seeds to it;
  3. Mix Cauliflower, White Portion of spring onion, Green Peas and fry them;
  4. Add Cabbage, Tomato and Capsicum, fry them;
  5. Now Add Black Pepper and Salt;
  6. Mix all the ingredients and fry them for 2 minutes;
  7. Add Boiled Rice to the veggies and mix them well;
  8. Cover the pan and cook for 2 minutes;
  9. Add Green Portion of Spring Onion and stir them.
