Sweet Corns popularly known as American Corns is such an amazing vegetable. Apparently it is a vegetable but honestly it is a dish in itself, even if you do no efforts or experiments with it and eat it in its raw form, it is delicious. It is actually a bit sweet in taste and very soft as compared to our Indian corn.

we Indians are tough enough! So are our corns!!! 😉

 

I always thought why sweet corns are known as American Corn to which wikipedia replied “Sweet corn occurs as a spontaneous mutation in field corn and was grown by several Native American tribes”

Ohhhh… Is that so….I never knew!!! 😛 I wonder If Americans are as Sweet as their Corns are!!!

You Know, I have special attachment with this vegetable. In my college days, there use to be a sweet corn stall outside my college, me and my friends use to go there every time we get an opportunity. Life was simple, Birthdays and other special days were celebrated with a sweet corn treat. I really miss those days and those sweet corns treats.

What if American Corns are originated in America, I can bet Indians are bigger fan as compared to Americans. You don’t believe me, look at the variety of dishes to which we add sweet corns, I add them even to my noodles!!! 😎  Sweet Corns, apart from being tasty, are very healthy as well.

Ingredients of Delicious Cheesy Sweet Corn Full Recipe - Dil Bhukkad

  1. Sweet Corns- 0.5 (1/2) Bowl;
  2. Mayonnaise- 2 tea spoon;
  3. Oregano- 0.5 (1/2) tea spoon;
  4. Black Pepper- 0.25 (1/4) tea spoon;
  5. Salt- to taste.

This Quantity is enough for  2 People. You can vary the ingredients as per your own requirement.

Preparation time- 5 minutes

Cooking time- 5 minutes

Complete Step by Step Process to Make Cheesy Sweet Corns

  1. Boil Some Water in a Pan;
  2. Add some salt to the boiling water;
  3. Cook/ Boil the Sweet Corns for 5 minutes;
  4. Remove off all the excess water from the corns;
  5. Add Mayonnaise, Oregano, Black Pepper, Salt to the Corns;
  6. Mix them Well;
  7. Now you can serve the Cheesy Sweet Corns.
